#MakeoverMonday Vol 3: Emily

Hey guys!! I'm here with another #MakeoverMonday! I actually did this makeover over winter break but didn't get a chance to post it until now!! Huge thanks to Emily who actually gave me the idea of doing this section of my blog!! Let's get started!

First I worked on Emily's hair. Her hair was blonde for a while from lightening spray and is now growing out. I love the dirty blonde color! Her hair is naturally pretty wavy and I didn't want to change that very much. I curled her hair using my NuMe wand 25mm from the Lustrum set. This gave her a "natural curls but better" look. I deepened her side part a little more for volume and that's it!

Next for makeup, I wanted the focus mostly on her eyes and lips. Em has these large beautiful eyes and lashes and I wanted to enhance that while still keeping a daytime friendly look. I used a pink eyeshadow on the entire eye area and the contoured the crease with a mixture of a dark eggplant color and a dark brown. I smudged this same dark purple on her bottom lashline and finished the eyes with a liquid eyeliner and a few coats of mascara. Em's eyebrows are already pretty full so I just stuck with pencil and a tinted brow gel to keep them in place.

For her face I applied foundation, concealer, and a translucent powder for a matte finish. I applied blush on the apples of her cheeks and used my Colourpop highlighter in Spoon for a little extra shine. This combination really gave Em an amazing glow, For the final touch I used my Clinique lipstick in Beach Coral for a subtle yet bright lip.

Final step: Outfit!!! I threw together this simple outfit that is casual yet chic and perfect for everyday. I started with a simple foundation of lighter wash denim jeggings and booties. I decided to do a denim on denim outfit but minimized the denim extreme with a grey sweater layering. What makes this outfit super chic and casual is the rolling of sleeves and the statement necklace. I love that the denim peeks out when you roll the sweater and a plain outfit is taken to a new level with the statement necklace. I really liked this outfit on Em and she looked amazing!

I had so much fun doing a little makeover for Em. She's one of my oldest friends and is so beautiful inside and out. It's amazing how a well coordinated outfit can boost your appearance and confidence! I encourage you to put a little more effort into an outfit this week because if you feel good, then you automatically look good!

Hugs,

Sabrina
