Hey guys!! I am so excited for this #MakeoverMonday!! I can't believe I've already done 6 #MakeoverMonday's and each one has been so much fun!!! I met Yvan my very first semester at UT. We were in the same FIG (First year Interest Group) and I knew right away that I had to be her friend. She is the coolest girl and I'm so lucky to have her in my life! You might know her from her amazing blog SimplyYvan! She also takes my lookbook pictures and they always look amazing! She is one of the most creative people I know and has such an eye for detail and style! This makeover has a super flowy, boho vibe and is so perfect for summer! Let's get started!!
For Yvan's crazy beautiful and long hair, I decided to do this gorgeous fishtail bun! I copied this look from another one of Missy Sue's tutorials, and you can find it here. lt didn't have the same final look as Missy Sue's, but in the end it looked great and gave a kind of braid crown look! This hairstyle was really perfect for Yvan's hair type and length!
For Yvan's makeup, I wanted something that was really glowy and summery while still feeling lightweight. For the base, I only used concealer and some powder foundation. For her eyes I used L'oreal's Infallible Eyeshadow in the shade Amber Rush. This is the most beautiful eye shadow shade and I highly recommend purchasing it. I have been obsessed with it for the summer and it goes so well with any skin tone in my opinion! I smoked this eyeshadow out with some darker shades to contour her eyelid and then applied eyeliner and generous coats of mascara. For the rest of her face makeup, I lightly contoured her cheeks and applied a bright peachy blush which looked amazing on her skin. I went cray on the highlight and really layered it on. She looked so glowy and perfect!! I filled in her brows lightly and finished the look with a stunning pink lipstick! Doesn't she look amazing?!
I really wanted a flowy look and Yvan picked out the perfect dress! (If you like her style, go check out her blog for more great styling!!) She got this gem at Urban Outfitters for $5 she said!!! How crazy. She paired the dress with some Kendra Scott earrings and these cute brown wedges from Altar'd State. I love white paired with brown in the summer, I think it provides a great warm tone that compliments warm weather.
That's it for her makeover!! She really did look amazing and I'm so grad I get to show this beauty off on my blog!!! I hope you enjoyed this #MakeoverMonday and if you have any questions, or want to be a future #MakeoverMonday, don't hesitate to contact me!!
